In a strange and almost perfectly ironic sense, this statement encapsulates the spirit of our age–an attitude that gives lip service to humility while celebrating self-promotion. Humility is hardly a hallmark of our age.

    1. Pride exists when one exalts himself above others.  A view of a pride progressively growing stronger in our lives.
      1. A thought
      2. An attitude – Haughtiness
      3. A practice or way of life – Pride

Sow a thought, reap and act;

Sow an act, reap a habit;

Sow a habit, reap a character;

  1. Pride is something in which we must be on guard in our personal lives!
    1. Though it shows up in different degrees and forms it affects every one of us.
    2. Pride becomes a problem in my daily life when I refuse to acknowledge my dependence upon God.
    3. Pride becomes the very core of sin.
